HOW I KEEP SCORE
I measure inputs, not outcomes. Every goal is scored by what I did this week, never by what happened as a result.
Every goal has a floor and a target. The floor is my bad-week minimum, and hitting it counts as a win. The target is a good week.
Many ways count. Each goal lists several kinds of action that qualify, so I can hit it on a travel day, a bad day, or in any city. One action can count toward two goals.
Never miss twice. One missed day is life. Two in a row is the start of a new habit, so I get back on the next day.
Weeks 8 and 12 are deload weeks. I only hit the floors, add nothing new, and rest on purpose.
The income goal has a ceiling. Overworking counts as a miss, the same as underworking.
Two check-ins a day carry the whole scorecard. Morning I say what I'm going to do, evening I say what I did, both in conversation with Claude across all five goals. Logged as M☐ E☐ on the day's card. The evening check-in is what fills in this scorecard, so nothing gets reconstructed from memory at the end of the week.
Weekly scorecard (for my accountability partner):

PERSONAL GOALS
Personal Goal 1: BODYOS: Move first, move after meals, track everything
Build a body that runs on daily movement, not willpower: out of bed and moving immediately, moving right after every meal, lifting three times a week, fasting once a week, and tracking all of it. By day 100, bring my biomarkers into the healthy/fit range for a 46-year-old man, including blood sugar and belly fat.
What counts: Three movement types every day, walk/run, calisthenics, and yoga/stretching, in three chunks:
Morning move (the anchor): out of bed and moving immediately, for 10+ minutes of walk/run, calisthenics, or yoga. Whichever I do is checked off for the day.
Post-meal moves: within 15 minutes of finishing lunch and dinner, 10+ minutes each of the two types I haven't done yet. Walking is the strongest blood-sugar tool, and yoga after a big meal stays gentle. On fast days these happen at midday and evening anyway.
Resistance: weights, machines, or a serious calisthenics session (standard below), at least 3 times a week. It can double as one of the day's chunks.
Gym walk-in: every day I have convenient access to a gym (hotel or home), I walk in. Five minutes counts. Showing up is the habit.
Cardio intervals: Norwegian 4x4s and sprint sessions (protocols below), ramping to 3 a week. A hard session counts as the day's walk/run chunk.
Hydration: a Hydration Day means hitting all four checkpoints (protocol below): two large glasses of ice water on waking before coffee, my daily total sipped through the day, two full glasses before dinner, and rehydration after cardio.
Food: ketosis until dinner every day, and a hard ceiling of 4 carb meals per week (protocol below).
Weekly fast: one 36-hour fast per week (for example, dinner one night to breakfast two mornings later), with plenty of water and electrolytes.
Chosen discomfort: at least 4 times a week, I choose something uncomfortable and stay with it on purpose (protocol below).
Supports: my phone charges outside the bedroom, clothes are laid out the night before, sleep and wake times stay consistent, and meals are mostly real food.
How I score it: Daily: morning move (yes/no) and chunks done (0–3). Weekly: chunks out of 21, resistance sessions, interval sessions, gym walk-ins versus days with access, Hydration Days, keto-until-dinner days, carb meals, chosen discomfort, and fast done. Ceilings: 4 carb meals per week, no matter what, and about 7 drinking occasions across the 100 days. Floor: morning move 7 of 7, Hydration Days 5 of 7, keto until dinner 5 of 7, chosen discomfort 4 times, 15 of 21 chunks, 3 resistance sessions, the week's interval count, 1 fast. Target: Hydration Days 7 of 7, keto until dinner 7 of 7, chosen discomfort every day, 21 of 21 chunks, 4 resistance sessions, 3 interval sessions from Week 6, a walk-in every day I have access.
Rules: The morning move is non-negotiable, because it's the one that beats the bed and the phone. Every movement has to work in a hotel room. Never miss twice. Tracking gets set up in one evening in Week 1 and then frozen; improving the tracking system doesn't count as health. I complete a physical with my GP in the first two weeks, and doctor's orders may change this plan and its constraints. Biomarkers are readings, not scores: I measure them at the start, middle, and end.
| This is important in my life and I am committed to this because: |
|---|
| Through my 20s and 30s I was so focused on work and FOMO that self-care always lost to something "more urgent." If I keep those ways, I'm unlikely to live a long, healthy life. At 46, I'm past the age where an unhealthy lifestyle doesn't meaningfully cost me healthspan; every year now, the bill comes due. Everything I want next runs on this body. Specifically: I have a habit of lazing in bed, trying to fall back asleep, and getting sucked into my phone, and hours slip away before I'm active or working. Moving the moment I wake up cuts that off at the root. I'm likely pre-diabetic, and moving right after meals blunts blood sugar spikes. I'm getting my kidneys checked, and steady hydration is the simplest thing I can do for them every day. My body responds well to ketosis and poorly to carbs and sugars, so keeping carbs rare and late is the lever that matches how I actually work. I feel better when I fast; I've just never done it with discipline. And I've always avoided discomfort, the same way I avoid my frogs. My understanding from the experts I follow is that learning to appreciate discomfort unlocks discipline and consistency, and helps regulate dopamine and keep me out of depressive moods. |
| The prices I am willing to pay to have it happen are: |
|---|
| The comfort of the bed and the phone in the first hour. Lounging after meals. Walking away from the table while others linger. Hunger one day a week. The bread basket, the pasta at a work dinner, and the beer with friends, most of the time. Alcohol outside of true celebrations and real occasions: no more than the equivalent of every other week across the 100 days, about 7 occasions. That means kicking the habits of meeting people for drinks, wine on airplanes, and a drink with an ordinary dinner. Some money on gear and labs. The ego that wants a big workout, when a 10-minute chunk is the win. |
| The ways of being I will access are: |
|---|
| Enthusiastic. Appreciate discomfort. Disciplined, not punishing. Patient. Consistent over intense. Curious about the data. Kind to myself on a missed day. |
My weekly action plan:
Key: AM 7/7 = morning move every day. H2O 5/7 = Hydration Days, at least 5 of 7. 3xWM = three ways of movement (walk/run, calisthenics, yoga) every day, one per chunk; floor 15 of 21 chunks a week (14 in deload weeks). RT = resistance training sessions. INT = cardio interval sessions (4x4s and sprints). fast = the weekly 36-hour fast. carbs ≤4 = no more than 4 carb meals that week. DISC = chosen-discomfort sessions.
| Week | By end of week | Floor / Target | Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Setup, and the anchors start Day 1. Buy the gear (including a marked 1-liter bottle), set my eating-out defaults, take Day 0 readings, book a GP physical with labs (including the kidney panel), and build the log in one evening. Phone out of the bedroom from night one. By end of week: morning move, post-meal walks, the hydration checklist, cold-shower finishes, and a gym walk-in on every access day are all running. Baseline set: max reps, mobility, and one easy 4x4 to learn my heart-rate zones. First 36-hour fast. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 2 · INT 1 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 | |

| Week 3 | By end of week: all three types every day, and the gym walk-in has become a real session rather than a visit, planned to complement the day's chunks, taking one muscle group to failure. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 3 · INT 2 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 | |
| Week 4 | By end of week: travel tested, with minor or no setbacks. Every anchor survived a travel day. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 3 · INT 2 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 | |

| Week 10 | By end of week: one lingering unhealthy habit named, its cue found, and a chunk put in its place. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 3–4 · INT 3 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 | |
| Week 11 | Everything holding. Nothing new added. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 3–4 · INT 3 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 | |
| Week 12 | Deload + final readings: labs and home readings, compared against Day 0. Write a keep / drop / grow list for the next 90 days. | AM 7/7 · H2O 5/7 · 3xWM · RT 2 · INT 1 · fast · carbs ≤4 · DISC 4 |
Every standard above stays in force for the rest of the 12 weeks. A week's row is what is newly true by the end of it, and the Floor / Target column is the plan.

Hydration protocol
Four checkpoints make a Hydration Day. Floor: 5 of 7 days. Target: every day.
On waking: two large glasses of ice water before coffee.
Through the day: sip to my daily total, tracked in ounces, with pale-yellow urine as the check. I carry a marked 1-liter bottle and count bottles, which works in any city.
Before dinner: two full glasses of water.
After cardio: a large glass right after the session and another within the hour, more on hot days or after sprints.
Fast days: water keeps flowing all day. The fast is from food, not fluids.
Food protocol
Two rules: ketosis until dinner, and no more than 4 carb meals a week. I don't always control my meals when I'm away from home, so the rules are written for restaurants and other people's kitchens.
What makes a carb meal: a real serving of starch or sugar, such as bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, tortillas, dessert, juice, soda, or beer. Vegetables, nuts, and dairy don't make a meal a carb meal. Judged by eye, not by grams, so it works anywhere.
Breakfast and lunch: protein, fat, and vegetables only. When I'm eating out: order the protein, swap the starch for extra vegetables or salad, go bunless, and skip the bread basket.
When a carb meal happens: it goes at dinner when I have the choice. I eat the protein and vegetables first and the carbs last, then do the post-dinner move with no exceptions.
When a meal is out of my control: I eat around the starch when I can. When I can't, it counts as one of my 4, and I make that post-meal walk a longer one.
Ketone spot-checks: a blood ketone meter a couple of mornings a week, logged, to confirm I'm actually in ketosis. The kit goes in the Week 1 gear list.
Chosen discomfort
Appreciate discomfort. It counts when I choose it and stay with it on purpose: I notice the urge to quit or escape, breathe slowly, and keep going. That's the same muscle as eating a frog. Floor: 4 a week. Target: every day. It can double-count with a movement chunk, a resistance session, or an interval session.
Effort: calisthenics sets taken to true failure, the last round of a 4x4, or a sprint session.
Heat: walking outside in the heat, or 20+ minutes in the sauna.
Cold: a cold shower (fully cold for the last 2+ minutes) or a cold plunge.
Holds: staying in a stretch or yoga pose that bites for 2+ minutes.
Ground: walking barefoot outside.
Hunger: sitting with hunger during the weekly fast instead of scrolling past it.
Serious calisthenics standard
A session replaces weights when it's full-body, about 30–45 minutes, with 3 working sets per movement pattern, and every working set ends within 1–2 reps of failure.
Push: push-ups, then decline and archer push-ups. Dips on chairs or bars. Pike push-ups for shoulders.
Pull: rows on a suspension trainer or table edge, then pull-ups and chin-ups, then slow negatives.
Legs: squats, then Bulgarian split squats, then pistol-squat progressions. Single-leg hip thrusts or single-leg deadlifts.
Core: hollow holds, leg raises, side planks.
Portable kit: a suspension trainer and loop bands in the bag; a doorway pull-up bar at home.
Yoga and stretching standard
A yoga chunk counts when it's 10+ minutes of continuous, breath-led movement or holds. This is the recovery system for everything else, so it targets what travel, laptops, sprints, and calisthenics tighten up: hips, hamstrings, upper back, and shoulders.
Morning (energizing): 3–5 rounds of sun salutations, then a deep squat hold and a few low lunges each side. Good for the anchor move on stiff mornings.
After meals (gentle): cat-cow, low lunges, standing side bends, gentle twists, and slow standing flows. No inversions, deep forward folds, or hard core work on a full stomach.
Bedtime wind-down: longer static holds of 60–90 seconds (pigeon, supported child's pose, reclined twist, legs up the wall). This doubles as the phone-free wind-down that makes the next morning's move easier.
Around hard sessions: dynamic mobility (leg swings, hip circles, arm circles) before intervals and lifting; static holds after, not before.
Once a week (target, not floor): one longer 30–45 minute session, either a class or a follow-along video.
Mobility checks at Day 0, midpoint, and end: the sit-to-rise test, a deep squat hold, and a toe touch (in the readings table). For sit-to-rise: sit down cross-legged on the floor and stand back up without using my hands. I start from 10 points and lose 1 for each hand, knee, or forearm I use for support, and half a point for any wobble.
Cardio intervals
Hard sessions happen on an incline treadmill, bike, rower, stair climber, pool, or hill rather than flat-ground sprinting. Heart-rate zones start from an estimated max of about 176 bpm (208 − 0.7 × age) and get recalibrated to the highest number I actually see.
Norwegian 4x4: a 10-minute warm-up, then four rounds of 4 minutes at 85–95% of max heart rate (about 150–167 bpm), each followed by 3 minutes of active recovery at about 70% (about 125 bpm), then a 5-minute cool-down. About 40 minutes total. The hard rounds are hard but sustainable, not all-out: if I can't finish round four, round one was too fast.
Sprint session: a 5-minute warm-up, then 20–30 second sprints at max effort, walking until my breathing recovers (usually 2–4 minutes), repeated for about 20 minutes. I stop when sprint speed clearly drops, not when I'm wrecked. Start at 4 sprints and add one a week.
Swimming: counts for either protocol. In the water my max heart rate runs about 10–13 bpm lower than on land, so the 4x4 zones become roughly 140–155 bpm hard and about 115 bpm recovery, and I judge the effort by breathing and stroke rate more than the watch. For the 4x4 the hard rounds are 4 minutes of continuous swimming; for sprints they are 25s and 50s repeats with rest on the wall until my breathing recovers. Zero impact, so it is the option that works when my legs are wrecked or my joints are complaining.
Spacing: no hard sessions on back-to-back days when I can avoid it, and not the day after a heavy leg session.
Tracking setup (Week 1, one evening)
Set it up once, then leave it alone.
Gear: a blood ketone meter, a smart scale with body composition, a body tape measure, a home blood pressure cuff, and a wearable that estimates VO2 max and resting heart rate. Optional: an over-the-counter continuous glucose monitor for the first two weeks, to see which meals spike me.
Labs at Day 0 and at the end: HbA1c, fasting glucose, a lipid panel with ApoB, and a kidney panel (eGFR and a urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio). HbA1c reflects roughly three months of blood sugar, so a 100-day program times it well. Optional: a DEXA scan at both ends for a direct visceral-fat number.
Files: health_log.csv (one row per day) and readings.csv (one row per measurement).
Sunday review: paste both files into Claude and ask for a summary against my floors and targets, plus the one thing to fix next week.

Personal Goal 2: PERSONALOS: Attention, presence, completion
Remaster my existing tools for ADHD, ASD, focus, presence, and learning for a fully engaged life, build the habit of eating the frogs (the tasks I avoid and let pile up), anchored by a weekly Frog Morning, capture my days on notecards that I close the loop on, and push finished work out in public every week.
What counts: Any of these count:
Frog Morning: a half-day (4+ hours) every week on the things that would otherwise fester (protocol below). Monday morning by default, otherwise the first open morning.
Weekly Review: a 45-minute GTD review the day before my Frog Morning, which builds that morning's frog list.
Check-in (M☐ E☐): two conversations with Claude a day, across all five goals. Morning: 5 minutes to say what I'm going to do, picking today's frog and 3 must-dos, before opening any inbox. Evening: 5 minutes to say what I did, which is where the scorecard gets filled in. A day counts when both boxes are checked.
Frog First: 25+ minutes on an avoided task before email, Slack, or messages.
Presence: 10 minutes of meditation, breathwork, or a phone-free walk.
Learning: daily French and Spanish above all, 20+ minutes a day across the two, plus one message, email, or letter drafted in each language every week. Other deliberate learning blocks count too.
Notecards: during the day I capture on notecards, not notebooks or devices (system below).
Visual notes: a page of graphics and diagrams, sparse on text, that distills a stack of cards. Done on evenings I'm not making music, in place of YouTube.
Push: one artifact out the door where people can see it, on work I have already done (system below). A screencast cut from the backlog, a changelog entry promoted public, a deck, a visual note page, or a written note/reflection/insight using my many collections.
How I score it: Check-in days per week (both boxes), language days per week, visual note pages per week, pushes per week, a clear card stack at every Weekly Review (scanned and entered), Frog Morning done (yes/no), Weekly Review done (yes/no), and frogs eaten per week, including the Frog Morning's. Floor: M☐E☐ on 5 of 7 days + Frog Morning + Weekly Review + 3 visual note pages + 1 push + language on 5 of 7 days. Target: M☐E☐ every day + Frog Morning + Weekly Review + 5 visual note pages + 3 pushes + language every day + a weekly draft in each language + the week's frog number, rising from 3 to 8.
Rules: Building, configuring, or shopping for new tools doesn't count, and that includes the publishing surface, the deck engine, and video editors. Remastering means using what I already have. Killing, delegating, or putting a real date on a frog counts as eating it. A push has a ceiling of 45 minutes of editing: past that it ships as it is or gets cut shorter, and polishing beyond the ceiling counts as a miss the same way overworking does on Goal 3. The Frog Morning is protected like a board meeting: when travel or immovable meetings take Monday, it moves to the first open morning, and if no morning opens all week, two 2-hour blocks count. The card scan-and-archive setup gets one session in Week 1 and is then frozen, the same as health tracking.
| This is important in my life and I am committed to this because: |
|---|
| My brain is an asset I've mostly run on crisis and adrenaline. The frogs I avoid don't disappear; they sit in the background and tax everything else I do. Accounting, filings, appointments, and promises I've made to people fester, and they cost more the longer they sit: in money, in penalties, and in trust. I already own tools that work for me. I just need to come back to them and use them consistently. Notecards keep me present, since devices distract me, and they take the pressure off: I lose notebooks, and I get anxious about filling them only with what's worth filling them with, while a card can be lost or tossed. Cards are also easier to reflect on, because I can sort them spatially. And turning them into visual notes at night is a more productive, more present way to wind down than binging YouTube. The same logic applies to pushing work out: I have dozens of hours of filmed screencasts I never edited, and unpublished work taxes me the way any other frog does. I am genuinely ahead of the curve on agentic, loop, and graph engineering, and I am confident enough in the ideas to put them out. Most of my relationships are professional now, and my closest friends from college run funds and companies. I stopped posting party photos years ago, which left them nothing to see. Pushing the work gives the network something real to follow and retrace. Languages are relationship infrastructure: my daughter and her grandparents only speak French, and Liu doesn't speak English well. Even if Liu and I don't stay together, Spanish is worth having in Texas. |
| The prices I am willing to pay to have it happen are: |
|---|
| My nightly YouTube binge. My best morning of the week, spent on the least rewarding work. The thrill of starting a shiny new system. Opening messages first thing. Doing some tasks imperfectly. Admitting which frogs I'll never do, and letting them go. Publishing things rougher than I'd like, with my filler words and my false starts in them. Being seen thinking out loud before the thinking is finished. |
| The ways of being I will access are: |
|---|
| Enthusiastic. Appreciate discomfort. Grateful for the circumstances around each task: grateful I have a career and network that require this much maintenance, and that I get to work with amazing people and support world-changing entrepreneurs. Honest about what I'm avoiding. Present. Curious instead of ashamed. A finisher. Generous with what I know. Willing to be seen mid-thought. |

Notecard system
Cards during the day, not notebooks or devices. Every card gets its loop closed.
Capture: one idea, task, or note per card, carried in a pocket or small case. Cards are disposable by design.
Reflect: lay the cards out and sort them spatially, grouping, sequencing, and tossing.
Close the loop, step 1 (scan): photo-scan every card into one searchable archive.
Step 2 (enter): anything that belongs in a system goes into it: contacts and deal notes into the CRM, ideas and knowledge into my digital corpus.
Step 3 (distill): a page of visual notes, meaning graphics and diagrams with sparse text, that summarizes a stack of cards. 3+ pages a week, on evenings I'm not making music.
Weekly Review check: the card stack is clear, meaning every card is scanned, entered, or tossed.
Frog Morning
The vocabulary:
Frog: a task that should or needs to get done, that I would previously have avoided, and whose delay causes increasing losses. The loss can be money or penalties, and just as often it is trust or network value.
Bullfrog: a frog with real complexity, often vague and ill-defined, that will take a substantial amount of time. Tax filing corrections. Angel and fund portfolio data gathering. Finishing an app so other people can use it. Pooling every LP connection I have ever made across my email into a single CRM.
Loose thread: an obligation to reply or communicate, with no concrete value for me.
Loose end: an obligation that includes an unfinished deliverable.
The test for what counts: I'd rather do almost anything else, there's no payoff or pleasure in it, and it gets worse the longer it sits.
How each is eaten: a frog is eaten by doing it, killing it, delegating it, or putting a real date on it. A bullfrog is eaten first by scoping it, meaning broken into a dated sequence of ordinary frogs, and each of those then counts on its own. A loose thread is eaten by replying or declining. A loose end is eaten by delivering it, renegotiating it, or withdrawing it.
What lands on the list:
Money admin: accounting, expenses, tax readiness, paying bills and fees.
Legal and regulatory: business registrations, filings, renewals, and other compliance nuts and bolts.
Life admin: making doctor's appointments and their equivalents.
Unfinished enthusiasm: finishing something I started excited about and dropped once the excitement faded. The filmed-and-never-edited screencasts live here, and they get drained on Frog Mornings rather than in new recording sessions.
Loose threads and loose ends: introductions I promised, and feedback on companies, strategies, and investments.
Logistics: planning travel and calendaring.
Planning and triage: triaging my own tasks, task manager, and planning system until every item is done, dated, delegated, or killed. My brain doesn't like planning, logistics, or details, which is exactly what makes this a frog.
Doesn't count: inbox triage with nothing closed, redesigning or reconfiguring my planning system (that's tool-building), new projects, capital conversations, or anything I'd happily do anyway.
Push system
One artifact out the door each week, on work I have already done. The work is the work; the push finishes it. Everything here is the last mile of something that already exists.
What a push is: something published where my network can see it, with my name on it and no gate in front of it.
Many ways count. A screencast cut from the backlog. A changelog entry promoted to the public surface. A deck timed to my own audio. A visual note page. A written note on something I am ahead of the curve on. A push on a travel day can be the shortest of these.
The standard is good enough. I am confident in the ideas. What I am building is the confidence that a rough cut published beats a polished one that sits. Filler words, false starts, and a plain background are all acceptable.
The ceiling is 45 minutes of editing per piece. Past that it ships as it is or gets cut shorter. The cut list matters more than the polish, and the mechanical work (filler words, captions, background, audio) is automated, so the 45 minutes is spent deciding what to remove.
One action, two goals. A visual note page that gets published counts for the page and the push. A screencast drained on a Frog Morning counts as a frog and a push.
Doesn't count: building the publishing surface, the deck engine, or shopping for editors, which is tool-building under this goal's rules. Drafts that stay private. Reposting someone else's work without adding my own read on it.
Not a creator. No schedule to serve, no format to defend, no audience to grow on purpose. I publish what I was already working on, and I stop when the 12 weeks tell me which format I actually keep doing.
Personal Goal 3: INCOME: Stop burning savings, build Humain
Stabilize regular income so I stop burning my savings. Breakeven is about $6k a month. Floor: $12k a month after taxes. Target: $18k a month after taxes. For these 100 days, four tracks. Close one of the two consulting roles I have lined up through The Lossless Group, which pays monthly and steadies income. At Humain VC, raise SPV capital for large-scale deals, where 1% fees pay the partnership now, and line up anchor capital for the next fund, which builds the recurring 2% fee base. And productize one of the AI-native apps I've built for myself and my work as a lifestyle revenue business: small, profitable, and low-maintenance, not a venture-backed startup.
What counts: Any of these count:
Consulting (The Lossless Group): conversations, proposals, and statements of work for innovation, strategy, AI, and agentic workforce consulting. I close one of the two roles I have lined up.
Productization: the finishing layer on an AI-native app whose core already works: product design details, auth, admin, payments, onboarding, and pricing. New features on the core don't count. The core is the fun part; the finishing layer is the frog. These are lifestyle revenue businesses: self-serve, simple pricing, off-the-shelf auth and payments, no fundraising, and as little support as possible.
Deal work: sourcing and securing allocation in large-scale deals we can syndicate through Humain SPVs.
SPV conversations: real conversations with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and institutions that co-invest.
Circulation: sharing a Big Deal outward through widening circles. Circle 1 is my warmest and most active relationships. Circle 2 is the relationships reactivated from the LP gathering. Circle 3 is the wide-net list. Circulating and following up is mine to commit to; whether anything closes is not.
Anchor conversations: real conversations with prospective anchor LPs for the next fund.
Solicitations: a Big Deal put in front of one named person, by any channel. The unit is the person, so one deal sent to thirty people is thirty solicitations.
Calls: a live phone or video conversation. Voice carries relationships that email does not, so calls are counted separately from conversations.
Activations: a dormant relationship brought back into live contact, meaning they replied and we are talking again. Each person counts once across the 90 days.
Explicit asks: a clear request for an SPV commitment, an anchor commitment, or an intro.
Artifacts: an SPV deal memo, an LP one-pager, the next-fund one-pager, or a public post.
Structure work: a focused session on SPV terms, fund economics, or partnership terms.
Pipeline hygiene: CRM updated and follow-ups sent.
Weekly Retro and Weekly Planning: a session with Claude that reviews what actually happened, then rewrites the coming weeks of this plan. Capital timing belongs to counterparties, so the schedule below is a starting position rather than a forecast.
How I score it: Monthly readings: consulting revenue billed, product revenue, SPV capital closed (cumulative), anchor commitments soft-circled, and after-tax income against the $12k floor and $18k target. Weekly inputs, which are what I actually control: conversations, calls, solicitations, activations, explicit asks, and artifacts. Weekly floor: 3 consulting, SPV, or anchor conversations + 5 calls + 10 solicitations + 5 activations. Weekly target: 6 conversations + 12 calls + 40 solicitations + 12 activations + 2 explicit asks + 1 artifact, plus one 3+ hour productization block from Week 4. Closes are read monthly and never scored weekly.
Rules: This table is rewritten weekly. Everything past the current week is a starting position, and the Weekly Retro and Weekly Planning session is what moves it. Outreach and attempts are mine to commit to; closes belong to counterparties, so a week scores on genuine outreach whether or not anything closed. The ceiling: one full day each week with zero consulting, Humain, or capital work, and a hard stop time on workdays. Breaking the ceiling counts as a miss, the same as missing the floor. Unpaid favors on my time (intros, feedback) belong to Goal 2's open loops, not here. One app at a time: a second app starts only after the first launches. I pick the app with the shortest path to a paying customer and the lowest ongoing maintenance.
| This is important in my life and I am committed to this because: |
|---|
| I compulsively angel invested, invested in my own business, and took two huge life bets on relationships that failed. My illiquid assets are fine, more than enough for anyone. But I've been draining what's left of my liquid savings just to keep going, and it's past where I told myself I would let it get. When income swings or stops, every decision gets made from scarcity. Stable income at double my breakeven buys calm, lets me say no to the wrong work, and funds everything else in this plan. Humain is how I get paid for the leverage I actually have: the pattern recognition of 220+ companies, 7 IPOs, and 21 unicorns. This time I want to build it without spending my health and relationships to do it. |
| The prices I am willing to pay to have it happen are: |
|---|
| Putting a price on our access and asking for money directly. Hearing no. Saying no to interesting deals that are too small to syndicate. Giving up the story that more hours means more progress. Stopping on time when I'm on a roll. |
| The ways of being I will access are: |
|---|
| Enthusiastic. Clear. Generous. Direct in my asks. Worth paying. Unattached to any single outcome. |
My weekly action plan:
| Week | Action | Floor / Target | Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Agree the Humain 100-day plan with my partners: target deals, allocation sizes, SPV fee terms, fee split, and anchor targets. Build two lists: SPV investors and anchor prospects. Follow up on both consulting roles and scope the one most likely to close. Circulate the first Big Deal to potential LPs. Gather every potential Big Deal we are aware of and begin materials development. Set the ceiling: pick my day off and hard stop time. Set the cadence: M☐E☐ daily, and a Weekly Retro plus Weekly Planning with Claude that rewrites the rest of this table. | 3 conv · 5 calls · 10 solic · 5 activ | |
| Week 2 | Improve the consulting proposal, scoped work, and pitch, and nudge it toward close. Gather all previous LP communications and relationships into one place (a bullfrog: scope it first). Create the next list for circulation. Come up with a plan for reactivating relationships. Lock allocation on the first large deal. Write the SPV deal memo and LP one-pager. | 3 conv · 5 calls · 10 solic · 5 activ · 1 artifact | |
| Week 3 | Close one consulting role. Circulate the first Big Deal to Circle 1, my warmest and most active relationships. Anchor conversations start. | 4 conv · 8 calls · 20 solic · 8 activ · 2 asks | |
| Week 4 | Widen circulation to Circle 2, the relationships reactivated from the LP gathering. Line up the next Big Deal. List my candidate apps and pick one to productize first. First monthly readings. | 4 conv · 8 calls · 25 solic · 8 activ · 2 asks | |
| Week 5 | An improved, streamlined way to share Big Deals with Circle 3, the wide-net list, and genuine outreach through it. Draft the next-fund one-pager with my partners. Productization: product design details. | 5 conv · 10 calls · 30 solic · 10 activ · 1 artifact | |
| Week 6 | By this week: confirmed conversations and notes with potential anchors. Circulate the second Big Deal across Circles 1 and 2. Productization: auth and admin. | 5 conv · 10 calls · 30 solic · 10 activ · 2 asks | |
| Week 7 | Structure session: next-fund economics, updated with what anchors have told me. Productization: payments and pricing. | 5 conv · 10 calls · 30 solic · 10 activ · 2 asks | |
| Week 8 | Deload: floor only. Write a synthesis memo on what's converting. Second monthly readings. | Deload: 3 conv · 5 calls | |
| Week 9 | Circulate the third Big Deal to the full list, Circles 1 through 3. Launch the app to its first 10 users. | 6 conv · 12 calls · 40 solic · 12 activ · 2 asks · 1 artifact | |
| Week 10 | Anchor push: convert conversations into soft commitments toward $6M. Ask the app's first users to pay. | 6 conv · 12 calls · 40 solic · 12 activ · 2 asks · 1 artifact | |
| Week 11 | By this week: every reactivated relationship has seen at least one Big Deal, and everyone who engaged has had a follow-up pass. | 6 conv · 12 calls · 40 solic · 12 activ · 2 asks · 1 artifact | |
| Week 12 | Deload + review: third monthly readings. Decide the next 90 days for SPVs and the fund raise. | Deload: 3 conv · 5 calls |
| By 30 Days | One consulting role closed and billing. Humain 100-day plan agreed with partners. First Big Deal circulated to Circles 1 and 2. Both lists built, and the LP gathering scoped. 14+ conversations. First readings taken. |
|---|---|
| By 60 Days | Two Big Deals circulated, and a streamlined way to share them with Circle 3 in use. Confirmed anchor conversations with notes. First app has product design, auth, admin, and payments working. 32+ conversations. Second readings taken. |
| By 90 Days | Three Big Deals circulated across all three circles, with every reactivated relationship having seen at least one. App launched to its first 10 users, with explicit asks to pay. 53+ conversations. Third readings taken, against the $87M SPV and $3M anchor floor. |
The math
Take-home uses 2026 federal brackets for a single filer with the standard deduction, Texas residency, and partner pay taxed as self-employment income. Three equal partners. Overhead placeholder: $250k a year. SPV fees are one-time at close, so SPV capital covers one year of pay and has to be raised again each year. Fund fees recur every year.
| Take-home per person | Pre-tax per person / yr | Team of 3 / yr | SPV capital at 1% (+overhead) | Fund size at 2% (+overhead) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Breakeven: $6k/mo | ~$97k | ~$290k | ~$29M ($54M) | ~$14.5M ($27M) |
| Floor: $12k/mo | ~$208k | ~$623k | ~$62M ($87M) | ~$31M ($44M) |
| Target: $18k/mo | ~$317k | ~$950k | ~$95M ($120M) | ~$47.5M ($60M) |
Consulting math (The Lossless Group)
What consulting would have to bill to cover each level on its own, taxed as self-employment income. Anything consulting covers reduces how much the SPVs need to carry.
| Covers on its own | Billed per month | Billed per year | Hourly at 20 hrs/week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Breakeven: $6k/mo | ~$8.0k | ~$97k | ~$93 |
| Floor: $12k/mo | ~$17.3k | ~$208k | ~$200 |
| Target: $18k/mo | ~$26.4k | ~$317k | ~$305 |
Income scoreboard
| Reading | Month 1 | Month 2 | Month 3 | Floor / target |

Creative Goal 4: MUSIC & SONGWRITING: A song's first cut in an hour
Get fluent enough in Ableton that I can write, record, and produce the first cut of a song in an hour or less, and play my music live. I already know how to find flow and finish a song; I recorded a full-length album on guitar. What's slow now is the tooling, so that's what I'm training.
What counts: Three evenings a week. An evening counts when I spend it on:
The week's song: writing, recording, and producing it, with the Song Clock running.
Mashup: warping and layering existing tracks, Girl Talk style (once songs get faster and free up evenings).
Live: building and practicing a set in Session View on my controller.
Voice (bonus, any day): 15 minutes of pitch practice. It doesn't count as an evening, but I log it.
How I score it: Music evenings per week (floor 2, target 3), plus one Song Clock logged per week. The clock target shrinks from my Week 1 baseline: 75%, 55%, 45%, 37%, 30%, 25%, then 20%, 16%, 13%, and 10% after the deload. From a 10-hour baseline, that lands at 1 hour in Week 12. The clock is a thermometer: a slow week is data, not a miss. A missed evening is a miss.
Rules: First cut means a full structure (start to end), a rough vocal (mine through pitch correction, or an AI vocalist), a rough mix, and an exported file. The clock runs from opening a blank template to export, including time spent looking things up, because tool fluency is exactly what I'm training. A song can span several evenings. After each song, I note its slowest step, and I spend the first 20 minutes of the next song drilling it. No polishing after export. Buying gear, plugins, or sample packs doesn't count, and I stick to one controller for the whole program. Nothing is monetized, and mashups aren't released publicly.
| This is important in my life and I am committed to this because: |
|---|
| I used to write songs on guitar and made a full album, and then ambition crowded music out of my life. This is how I play now. It uses the same systems-loving, compulsive brain that runs everything else, pointed at something that's pure joy. And I'm done letting my voice or rusty tools be the reason I don't make things. |
| The prices I am willing to pay to have it happen are: |
|---|
| Sounding bad for a while. Hearing my own off-key voice through studio monitors. Timing myself when I'm slow. The guilt of "unproductive" evenings. Staying out of the gear-and-plugin rabbit hole. Exporting songs I know aren't finished. |
| The ways of being I will access are: |
|---|
| Enthusiastic. Playful. A shameless beginner. Fast and loose. Joyful. |
My weekly action plan:
| Week | Action | Floor / Target | Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Build a song template (drums, bass, keys, guitar, and a vocal track with pitch correction; Auto Shift is built into Live). Folk song: start the clock and set my baseline. Start 15-minute pitch practice on off nights. | 2 / 3 · baseline | |
| Week 2 | Hip hop song. Drill Week 1's slowest step first. | 2 / 3 · 75% | |
| Week 3 | Pop song. Set up one AI vocalist (such as Synthesizer V or ACE Studio) and use it for this song's topline. | 2 / 3 · 55% | |
| Week 4 | Dance song, built in Session View so it can be performed later. | 2 / 3 · 45% | |
| Week 5 | Folk again: my first same-genre comparison against Week 1. | 2 / 3 · 37% | |
| Week 6 | Hip hop. Share one song with one person, privately. | 2 / 3 · 30% | |
| Week 7 | Pop. Use the time I've freed up on a first mashup. | 2 / 3 · 25% | |
| Week 8 | Deload: one evening, no clock. Listen to all seven songs and chart the clock times. | 1 · no clock | |
| Week 9 | Dance. With the freed time, map my controller and start a live set from my own songs. | 2 / 3 · 20% | |
| Week 10 | Folk. Play a 10-minute live set of my songs plus a mashup, and record it. | 2 / 3 · 16% | |
| Week 11 | Hip hop or pop. | 2 / 3 · 13% | |
| Week 12 | Capstone: any genre, first cut in 60 minutes. Play it, or the live set, for Billie or Liu. | 2 / 3 · 10% |
| By 30 Days | 4 songs timed, one in each genre. Baseline set. Template and vocal chain working. AI vocalist used once. |
|---|---|
| By 60 Days | 7 songs timed. Folk clock compared against Week 1. First mashup exported. Clock times charted at the deload. |
| By 90 Days | 11 songs timed. A recorded 10-minute live set. Capstone attempt at a 60-minute first cut. |
Relationships Goal 5: RELATIONSHIPS: Show up for my people
Elevate and expand my most important relationships through presence, not grand gestures, starting with my family and close friends, Mom, and Liu.
What counts: Each of these is a touch:
Family / close friends: phone-free time together, or an activity they choose.
Billie: she lives in France, so presence in person waits for my trip around Christmas. Until then, a call or message where I'm actually present counts as a family touch.
Mom: a call where I share something real, not just "I'm fine."
Liu: an intentional conversation, Spanish practice together, or planning travel.
My list: a real reach-out to someone on my 25–40 relationship list.
How I score it: Touches per week. Floor: family/close friends + Mom. Target: family/close friends, Mom, Liu + 2 from my list.
Rules: The 0–10 ratings are a thermometer, not a target. I re-rate at Weeks 6 and 12 to see how things feel, not to hit a number.
| This is important in my life and I am committed to this because: |
|---|
| My ambition was paid for with my relationships. I've been anxious and absent with my family and close friends, and Billie at a 3 is the number in this document I most want to change. I want my mom to stop worrying about me because she actually knows me, not because I'm keeping things from her. |
| The prices I am willing to pay to have it happen are: |
|---|
| Uninterrupted work time. Leaving my phone in another room. Being vulnerable with my mom. Hearing things I may not want to hear. Being a clumsy beginner at Spanish in front of Liu. |
| The ways of being I will access are: |
|---|
| Enthusiastic. Present. Vulnerable. Forgiving. Engaged. Consistent. |
My weekly action plan:
| Week | Action | Floor / Target | Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Fill in my 25–40 relationship list and rate each person 0–10. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 2 | Start the weekly rhythm: time with family or close friends, a call with Mom, an intentional conversation with Liu. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 3 | Hold, plus 2 list reach-outs. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 4 | Tell Mom one real thing I've been keeping from her. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 5 | Ask someone in my family or a close friend what they'd like to do together, and do it. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 6 | Re-rate my top 10. Plan a trip or shared project with Liu. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 7 | Hold, plus reach out to 2 people I've drifted from. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 8 | Deload: floor only (family/close friends + Mom). | 2 | |
| Week 9 | One conversation with Liu entirely in Spanish, however clumsy. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 10 | Movement or creative time with family or close friends (counts for Goal 1 or 4 too). Book the France trip. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 11 | Hold, plus 2 list reach-outs. | 2 / 5 | |
| Week 12 | Re-rate everyone. Write one sentence per person about what changed. | 2 |
| By 30 Days | 4 family/close-friend times. 4 real calls with Mom. 3+ intentional conversations with Liu. 4+ list reach-outs. |
|---|---|
| By 60 Days | 8 family/close-friend times. 8 calls with Mom. 6+ conversations with Liu. 10+ list reach-outs. First re-rating done. |
| By 90 Days | 12 family/close-friend times. 12 calls with Mom. 10+ conversations with Liu. 16+ list reach-outs. Second re-rating done. Presence with Billie in France over Christmas (around Day 89): phone-free time, and an activity she chooses. |
